The bar chart displays the percentage of internet users of each region’s population as well as the percentage of world usage i.e. world wide internet users.
The regions with the lowest internet usage per region are Africa, Asia and Latin America with Africa being the lowest user. The continents with the highest internet usage are Europe, Australia and North
America with North America having the highest percentage of internet users.
However, even though Asia has low internet usage, the overall Asian percentage represents 35% of world wide use. In a similar vein, although North America has the most internet users, it is also a continent
that only represents 20% of world wide usage. By the same token, over half the population of Australia use the internet but such users only represent less than 10 percent of the world.
In conclusion, even though many North Americans and Australians use the internet, they do not compose the majority of world wide internet users. Alternately, despite the fact that a small percentage of Asians
use the internet, that percentage represents a large part of internet users world wide as the Asian continent includes China which has a large population. |
