Writing can be a difficult process for some people, particularly when the writing task has to be done under time constraints in an exam situation or when the assignment has to be
written within a few days. Having worked as a writing teacher in various language schools, I have developed some methods and lessons plans devised to help students complete their writing tests in
time as well as fulfill all the necessary test and project requirements. Some of the courses I have developed have been for TOEFL students, IELTS students, LPI students and grade 12 students.
There are similarities in all the essay test requirements. However, there are specific differences as well. Hence I have developed different essay collections particular to each test format. Most
of these essays* have been given out as classroom material in the writing courses I have taught. This website is also meant to serve students as a writing forum. For all students who have ordered
any of the guides or essay collections, feel free to drop in and ask questions pertaining to the English language.
Having studied counseling, I am setting up a students' corner. If students feel
the need to have a listening ear or a place to vent, they can drop by the forum that will soon be 'in session'. We do NOT purport to give any therapy but just a caring place for students to share their concerns or opinions.
* Please note that these essays should only be used as a stepping off point for students to gain ideas and learn about proper essay structure, useful expressions etc. Ethically speaking, you should write
your own essays when you are sitting for a test or handing in an assignment. Furthermore, asking a writing service to write an essay for you is considered by colleges as cheating and you gain very little knowledge in the process.
